Ellie and Alex's Humanist Wedding in Sussex

The moment I spoke to Alex and Ellie I knew their wedding day was going to be something really special. As lovers of the outdoors and nature, they were planning a wedding ceremony and reception at Wilderness Wood Hadlow Down, East Sussex. Well whats not to like.

Despite heavy rain the night before, the sun appeared in the morning  and needless to say every part of the day lived up to all expectation. Guests were seated on hay bales in a clearing in the forest to witness the humanist blessing. Celebrations continued in the woods with a beautifully decorated canvas tent reception, full of wild flowers, hanging lanterns and vintage bunting. There is no doubt the amount of effort that had gone into the preparations and there were so many lovely touches. In particular Alex had made a ring box fashioned out of a piece of reclaimed wood gathered from the forest on a previous visit to Wilderness wood.
