Rhys and Thubeena's colourful London Wedding
The Hackney Town Hall wedding day of Thubeena and Rhys was awesome. A riot of colour, typically urban and quintessentially London. It was a real joy being the photographer at such an action packed wedding.
The whole day was a lovely mix of Sri Lankan and English traditions.Vibrant orange and blue was the colour scheme of the day and featured in everything from their outfits to the stationary. The historic Hackney Town Hall hosted not 1 but 3 ceremonies, while the wedding reception was held across town at One Friendly Place, a grand old spice warehouse in Greenwich. This unique venue spans over 3 floors and is crammed with cool furniture and props. The newly weds had meticulously planned every element of their party, adding so many of their own personal touches including some very impressive home made light up table numbers and a glowing bar sign. All guests were invited to make wedding cards which were then hung on string lines as part of the decoration and 'air' plants were given as a favour.
This was a very special, colourful, eclectic alternative wedding. The happy couples home town of London certainly coming up trumps.
